Kiera Baker is a sports and entertainment journalist, on-camera reporter, writer, host and digital storyteller with a passion for telling stories that go beyond the highlights. A former collegiate basketball player, Kiera brings an athlete’s perspective, a journalist’s curiosity and an authentic approach to every story she covers.

Kiera is the Founder and Lead Reporter of KST Media, an independent digital media platform covering sports, entertainment and culture through original reporting, interviews, event coverage and multimedia storytelling. Through KST Media, she focuses on the people and stories behind the moments, creating coverage that amplifies authentic voices and takes audiences beyond the game.

Kiera is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism with a focus in Sports Journalism at the University of Southern California. At USC, she is gaining experience across broadcast, print, digital and social journalism. She serves as a beat writer and sports anchor for USC Annenberg TV, creates social media content for Annenberg Sports, and works as a Social Video Producer for the Daily Trojan. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Annenberg Cross-Cultural Student Association (ACCSA).

In addition to her work at USC, Kiera is a Sports Reporter and Writer for The Sporting Tribune, where she primarily covers college basketball, the NBA and WNBA. The role allows her to combine her knowledge of the game with written reporting and storytelling while expanding her coverage of basketball at both the collegiate and professional levels.

Before USC, Kiera earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University and completed the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism Certificate. While at Penn State, she gained experience with Penn State Athletics and Women’s Basketball Insider, along with live game coverage, play-by-play, score updates, camera work and production.

Kiera’s reporting experience spans professional, collegiate, grassroots and community sports. She has covered organizations and events including the Houston Texans, USC Athletics, Fort Bend ISD Athletics, PrimeTime Sports, AAU basketball, the No Excuses Pro League, the Must See Classic, Main Street Boxing and Pathway to Glory. Her work includes sideline reporting, sports anchoring, beat writing, athlete and coach interviews, event coverage, social video and multimedia storytelling.

Before stepping behind the microphone, Kiera was a collegiate basketball player at Penn State Beaver, where she earned USCAA All-American and All-Conference honors and was part of a USCAA championship team. Her experience as an athlete continues to shape the way she approaches sports journalism, giving her firsthand insight into the preparation, pressure, discipline and commitment behind competition.

Now based in Los Angeles, Kiera is continuing to build a multifaceted career across sports broadcasting, reporting, writing, digital journalism and entertainment media, while growing KST Media as a platform for original storytelling.
